Here are two outfits for the career woman who works a 9-5 even in a conservative environment. This could also be worn if you wanted to dress up for a business meeting.
The first outfit is a great way to style a shirt dress with a slip underneath to give it a bit of contrast and so that it’s not too sheer, or too short. A wrap belt helps to accentuate your waist and make your legs look longer. When choosing a dress for work I wouldn’t choose one that was more than 1″ above the knee to keep it professional and within most work dress codes. (My boss is a stickler for dress code). Black and white is such a classic neutral color combo that looks great on everyone.
The second outfit is a great spring neutral combo. I love skinny slacks they are dressy and professional, but comfortable and easy to style. I paired the slacks with a chiffon hem peplum top and blush lace up flats. This is such a feminine look that can be worn from the office and then out for drinks with the girls, or dinner with your guy.

Friday my boyfriend and I went to a surprise birthday dinner for his sweet cousin’s 36th birthday. Her husband planned the whole thing with a private dining room for family and friends and a theme “36 Shades of Carissa” because she is obsessed with the 50 Shades of Grey Trilogy.
All of us dressed up because the dinner was held in the private dining room of a Shula’s, an upscale steak house near us. I decided to wear this adorable floral dress, since the weather was perfect for showing some leg. This dress and shoes I got for such a steal!!!! I did have the dress tailored which cost $15, but since I also only bought the dress for about $15, so it was worth it.

Wow I’m blogging. I am starring at this blank page and getting more and more excited to release something to you my readers!!! I have been looking forward to this day fondly. This post is about my first ever #OOTD.
Let me give you a little back story. Back in 2014 when my favorite show Star Crossed was on the CW, I realized that Actor Matt Lanter had a wife!!! I was like whaaaatttt who is she, what does she look like yada yada. Anyways I found her instagram where she had started Hello Gorgeous and I fell in love. Yes I fell in love with a woman haha. Her beauty, her love for fashion, love for God, and just how I felt I could hear her voice coming off the pages when I read her blog. She inspired me. I went from being a Matt Lanter fan to being an Angela Lanter fan.
Looking through her outfit posts led me to create the LOOKBOOK outfit above which was based on something she posted, yet I found all my pieces for a fraction of the cost. That’s when I realized I could do that for other people as well. All the time now I have family and friends sending me pictures and ideas and asking me to find the items for them online.
I love bohemian style which is what this look incorporates. These floral shorts paired with a flowy silk kimono are what pull this look together. I kept it neutral with black and white and then the bright colors on the kimono be the star of the outfit.
